Two of the biggest highlights for me on the K2 Bottle Rocket are how much pop the board can provide, and how much fun it is for carving. This is a wider snowboard that is designed to be able to be ridden a size or two down from your typical board, this makes the board more maneuverable, helps provide a more surfy feel, and is good news for those of you with large boots (size 11 and up). The waist width of the 152 is 25.9cm, which is as wide as many “wide” specific boards.
The K2 Party Platter is a lively snowboard that is best suited for powder, carving, and generally just having a good time whatever the snow conditions may be. Its directional shape and short tail make the board very maneuverable and provide a fun, surfy feel on groomers. The two biggest highlights for me on this snowboard is how well it is able to carve and hold an edge, and how quickly you are able transition from edge to edge and change directions (even in deep heavy snow).
